ORDINANCE NO. 2560 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE AND ACCOMPANYING MAP THERETO KNOWN AS GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1843 (1989), BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE ZONING DISTRICT FOR LOT 6, IN BLOCK 165, CITY OF MCALESTER, FORMERLY SOUTH MCALESTER, PITTSBURG COUNTY, STATE OF OKLAHOMA FROM R-1B SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO R-2 TWO-FAMILY DWELLING (DUPLEX) DISTRICT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McALESTER, OKLAHOMA, that: SECTION 1. GENERAL ORDINANCE NO. 1843, of the year 1989, and accompanying map thereto, as amended, is hereby further amended insofar as the same relates to certain parcels of land described as follows: Changing the classification of the zoning district for Lot 6, in Block 165, City Of McAlester, formerly South McAlester, Pittsburg County, State of Oklahoma from R-1B Single-Family Residential District to R-2 Two-Family Dwelling (Duplex) District. SECTION 2. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE The zoning change adopted by this ordinance shall be published within 15 days of approval in a newspaper of general circulation in McAlester, Oklahoma and the change shall become effective 30 days after approval by the City Council as required by Oklahoma General Statutes.
